Iman Dawoud manages GPW’s Dubai based Dispute Consulting and Intelligence practice. Iman joined GPW in 2017 from four years as part of the forensics team of a Big 4 consulting firm. Iman is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has extensive experience of high profile, FCPA investigations, asset traces, due diligence investigations, and dispute advisory projects. Iman has managed large vendor screening projects for a major US corporates covering the Levant, North Africa and the GCC and has extensive experience leading due diligence investigations, fraud investigations and fraud risk assessments.
Iman is published in Arabic and English having begun her career as a journalist at an independent pan-Arab daily newspaper, she spent three years as an equities and commodities reporter at Dow Jones Newswires in London and later became a foreign correspondent for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal based out of Dubai and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During her journalistic career Iman was regularly interviewed on live news for the BBC, Sky News, the WSJ and other outlets as well as covering major international events such as the Arab League Summit.
Iman graduated from SOAS University of London with a BA Economics and Arabic. Iman has studied in the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University, Syria and in the Faculty of Literature at Alexandria University, Egypt.
