R. Kirk Sherr is the President of Clearview Strategy Group, an international energy and natural resources development advisory firm based in Washington, D.C. He has 30 years' international experience in key emerging and frontier country markets worldwide.
He has held senior executive positions and has founded energy service companies, energy distribution companies and large midstream and downstream energy businesses in numerous Latin American and the Middle Eastern countries. He has in-depth energy and resource development and operational experience in diverse markets including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Iraq.
He has previously been the President of MetroGas (Mexico City) and Compania Mexicana de Gas (Monterrey). He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgetown Graduate School of Foreign Service, specialising in international energy and security issues and he is Director of the Mexican industrial services company GESAGG and the Latin American energy consultancy GELA.
Prior to founding Clearview in 2012, Mr. Sherr was a principal at the Scowcroft Group, following many years developing and operating natural resource and other projects in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and other Latin American markets. He began his career as a diplomat after receiving his AB in economics, government and Spanish from Franklin and Marshall College, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
